Know Your Computer

For any reason, you may want to find out what is your graphics card, how much memory (RAM) does your computer have, what is your sound card, what is your motherboard, and other general information about your computer. This article explains what you will need to acquire this information.

dxdiag

You can easily read through the general information about your computer in dxdiag.

To access dxdiag, click the start button, and click Run.... Type dxdiag in the empty field and click OK.

Third-Party Software

However, dxdiag might not be enough.

To know more about your computer you need a software designed to do this job - to gather everything they know about your computer and present the information in an easily understandable, clean and detailed interface.

I have tested a few software for this purpose and found out that System Spec is the best choice.

System Spec provides detailed information about the computer, user, memory, display, drives, CPU, internet, programs, network, printers and sound.

At the same time, this application is less than 2 MB in size, does not require installation, and is portable.
