You don't need a digital camera to take a snapshot of your computer screen. You can do this task only using Windows and a popular program that comes with it.
You should have Paint installed in Windows by default. Open paint by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories and then clicking Paint.
In this tutorial, you will take a screenshot of your desktop.

Go to the desktop, and then press PRINT SCREEN on your keyboard. The PRINT SCREEN button is usually on the top right side of the keyboard.
PRINT SCREEN takes a screenshot. But, it neither displays the screenshot nor save it. To see the screenshot, you can use any graphics program such as Paint.
Open Paint. Go to the menu bar, go to Edit and click Paste.
You now should see the screenshot of your desktop on Paint drawing area. You can edit it as you want. To save it, go to the menu bar, select File and click Save As....
